trying a new topic
With the tense situation and war in the immediate vicinity, I lack the leisure and inspiration to paint. I didn’t paint anything all week but did other necessary work.
I have largely completed my series on the subject of covid-19. Hopefully, the pandemic will soon be history, at least it seems to have peaked.
Well, in February I started playing around with an idea, but I don’t know if it will become a series yet: It’s dedicated to the metaverse. For the avoidance of doubt, I don’t mean what a certain Mark Z. and other dubious players have in their wet dreams. Even though I’ve dealt with the topic and admittedly only understand parts of the concept, there are still a few points that I fundamentally reject. e.g. Our children already spend far too much time in front of various devices. Sure, playing is important, but the quality of the games also matters. Above all, however, it is medically proven that too close an eye to the screen has long-term consequences for the eyesight. I also fundamentally reject the idea that others want to shape my imagination and my behavior. Ok, that’s a broad topic with many facets, I know.
So I prefer to create my own metaverse and have done some thinking about it. Among other things, micro and macro cosmos should be captured, different philosophies and styles of art and other aspects.
When I see progress on this topic, I’ll post more about it. Otherwise, it remains a nice attempt with, hopefully, a few good works that are also justified as solitaires.
Below are my first attempts and details from the work.
