A Small Holiday Art Project
Since I don’t celebrate Christmas, I have time for other things. I usually try to put things in order before the year ends, so I can begin the next one with a little less clutter. This time I came across my box of bookmarks and took it as a reason to make another twenty.
I’ve also been painting recently, but today I want to show a few of the new bookmarks. Nothing grand—just for fun. My earlier ones were more colourful, with stronger contrasts. This time I was looking for a quieter balance of colours, and perhaps a little elegance in one or two of them.
As bookmarks, though, they are not very practical. There are too many delicate parts that could come loose or rub off between the pages. I still give them to a few people who enjoy them. They may be better looked at than put to work.
