About my Dragon Paintings

Paintings of dragons have been a popular subject in art for centuries. They often appear as powerful, mythical creatures with a rich cultural history. The dragon is a symbol of strength, power, and good fortune in many cultures, including Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

One of the most popular of this genre is “St. George and the Dragon” by Paolo Uccello, which depicts the legendary battle between St. George and a dragon ¹. Another famous dragon painting is “The Great Red Dragon and the Woman Clothed in Sun” by William Blake. It is part of a series of paintings after the Book of Revelation.

For contemporary examples, you might want to check out the art of Katsushika Hokusai. Hokusai was a Japanese artist who created a series in the 19th century. His paintings stand out with their intricate details and vibrant colors.

Another artist who has created some stunning dragon paintings is Cris Ortega. Ortega is a Spanish artist who specializes in fantasy art. Her dragon paintings are dark, gothic style, and have intricate details.
